Senior Accountant – Sulaymaniyah (Alba Company) Location: Sulaymaniyah, Iraq Contract: Open-end (Immediate start required) About the Role We’re hiring a reliable, experienced Senior Accountant to lead daily finance operations, deliver strategic insights, and ensure full compliance with Iraqi regulations. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and interpret management financial reports • Advise on investments and financial planning • Monitor liquidity, cash flow, and overall financial health • Analyze costs/pricing vs. business plans; build trends & projections • Lead budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives • Set goals and supervise finance team operations • Liaise with auditors and ensure proper controls • Partner with departments on financial decisions Qualifications • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance • 5+ years experience, including 2+ years in a senior role • Strong knowledge of Iraqi tax & financial regulations • Proficient with accounting software and Excel • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills • CPA/CMA is a plus
